And that is the ultimate beauty and curse of being a man, the responsibility. We salute all the men in every corner of Earth, Happy International Men’s Day!
Tolerating the pressure of providing for loved ones comes naturally to them from a younger age, that’s how they express their love. For instance a father will barely vocalise his love for his children but have a closer look at his gestures, he will never say no to anything that his kids ask him for. He will make sure his kid gets all new things when he still wears clothes as old as time. In a man’s world just a reassuring nod from his role model is more impactful than reassuring words from his people. It’s all in the gestures. A brother, no matter how annoying he is, will always manage to get a smile on his sister’s face every time her day is bad. A husband will always be in his wife’s corner even on the worst of days.
Men are simple really, most of them anyway. They’re just not wired to express their emotions to the maximum but that doesn't mean they don’t feel them to the fullest. Every year on men’s day people talk about how “men should cry” to express themselves but the real question is do we as a society create such a space for them to be vulnerable? Exactly!
