1) Do you run your day or does it run you? 


If you don’t plan your day – it will get away from you. You must plan your day so you

can be productive. The most important task occurs first, followed by those lower on the priority list. After that, you can divide your chores into manageable chunks and add them to your schedule. The surefire way to mark things off your to-do list!


2) Keep your work area clean 


Did you know that: Your trusty keyboard, mouse, and phone are prime spots for dust and

germs to party? Huffington Post noted that a keyboard can be 20,000 times dirtier than a

toilet seat! As icky as that sounds – you need to keep your desk and equipment in tip-top shape. by giving them a wipe-down with sanitizing wipes regularly.


3) Perfect posture


Lift your computer screen to eye level and bring your phone closer to your eyes instead

of bending your neck. When working on the computer, minimize wrist and arm

movements by adjusting your mouse sensitivity and using keyboard shortcuts. Make sure

your chair supports your back and your feet touch the ground when you sit. Your chair

should be at a height where your elbows form a comfortable 90 to 120-degree angle on

the desk, and your knees should be at a similar angle from the floor. These simple

adjustments can help you work comfortably and prevent strain.


4) Take time for yourself outside work, to relax 


You don't have to sit at your desk all day to be productive. Take frequent breaks to refuel

your brain and stay focused. Even if you're busy, you may set reminders, such as every

hour, to take a quick five-minute break from your desk. Go for a quick walk, get some

fresh air, or eat a healthy snack. It helps!


5) Don’t forget your lunch box 


Are you a “leftover dinner for lunch” person? If yes, you might want to re-think that

habit. Fuel your body with lean meat, fruits, and veggies rather than packaged food or

leftovers. A little extra effort but it does go a long way.

Pro tip: If you prepare your lunch every day, do so when you're not hungry. This simple hack helps you make better food choices.


6) Drink enough water 


Remember to bring your favorite water bottle to your coworking space. It's essential

for staying energized and avoiding fatigue. Hydration is key!


7) Reduce caffeine consumption 


Enjoying that cup of coffee to stay alert at work is common, but it's a short-lived boost

that often ends in a crash. Also, consuming too much coffee can impair your productivity by causing restlessness, gastrointestinal problems, and dizziness. If you want sustained energy, consider cutting back on the coffee. Start by slowly reducing your intake to avoid withdrawal headaches. You can swap it out for healthier options like water, decaf coffee, or herbal teas.


8) Practice Quick meditation 


Remember to take care of your mental health at work. If you're stressed, try meditation.

Take short breaks, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. You can even do it at your desk. 

Do it now - inhale for 3-2-1 and now, exhale slowly - feeling better?


9) Snack smarter 


Plan your snacks to avoid vending machines or your co-worker’s secret candy stash. Swap them for healthier options like granola bars, fruits, and, nuts. Water-rich fruits like watermelon and oranges keep you hydrated. Snack every few hours to keep your energy up and avoid afternoon crashes.


10) Reward yourself 


Hard day at work? Treat yourself! To be productive and create an impact, we often forget to reward ourselves for our efforts. Go ahead, and watch that extra episode on Netflix, guilt-free!
