Gatherings- Every decision involving the internal employees must be taken in the presence of each of them if it’s a small team. In case of a huge or moderate team, the presence of the respective team leaders should be mandatory. This ensures that every person is in loop of all new arrangements and upgrades.
Interventions- There are chances of developing conflicts between the internal team which can be resolved face-to-face by having an intervention or just by having a genuine conversation to sort things out.
Regulation of emails- Emails consisting of important notices should be clear and concise in terms of language and sent timely not only between the internal team but also to the members.For example formal messages in case the coworking space is supposed to remain closed on a public holiday/festive holiday.
External Communication:
It’s no secret that the members of a coworking space and its management are someday going to get rid of awkward, passing-by smiles and greetings and have power-packed discussions of their favourite music artists.
However, a slip of tongue is just as easily possible with such friendly connections being built. The management needs to walk the fine-line of cultivating an environment that is both inviting and conducive to a sense of belonging for their members and be careful enough to not express the internal matters of the coworking space.
Set the vibe- Develop an environment friendly enough for your coworking members to be open about any problem they’re facing work-wise or even otherwise. Providing comfort and flexibility must be a top priority.
Be tech-savvy- Make sure your members find the booking process not too complicated. A simple inquiry and booking form is much appreciated.
Engage without over-bearing- It’s essential that your team catches up with your members every once a while. If there’s any inconvenience, it can be handled informally sometimes.
Communication between members:
Member communication happens when your members are perpetually engaged and continuing conversations outside of the channels you establish.
In-person collaboration, the exchange of personal phone numbers and social media handles like instagram, facebook, twitter, linkedin etc, and utilising the collective expertise of fellow members for purpose of knoledge exchange after hours all work to connect people within your coworking space.
